Madagascar has decided to close its airspace to South Africa following the discovery of the new variant of Covid-19, the Omicron variant in this country. The decision was announced in the Council of Ministers yesterday.

“Faced with the resurgence of the Covid-19 epidemic in Madagascar and the presence of the Omicron variant in certain African countries, it was decided that the skies of Madagascar be closed to South Africa”, indicates the minutes of the Council of Ministers.
